The Juve starlet wants to play with his captain on a more regular basis.

Sebastian Giovinco has had a very solid season to date, as he continues to improve in the Italian topflight with Juventus.

The 22-year-old striker has grown under the guidance of his captain and idol Alessandro Del Piero, a player whom he would like to play more regularly with in the future.

“For all those who say we can’t play together, I must disagree, as I believe that we certainly can play alongside one another,” Giovinco stressed in an interview with Juventus Channel.

“I think that we work really well when we are both on the pitch.

“It is the first year that we have played frequently together, but we haven’t been able to feature all of the games. I have a great feeling when I’m alonside him, as I do when I play with [Pavel] Nedved.

“If Nedved decides to move to the centre of midfield, then we can all play together.”

Giovinco concluded the interview by making reference to the future of Nedved, by declaring that he could go on for quite some time yet.

“I do not think that Nedved will retire at the end of the season. He honestly could play for another three years.”

Juventus take on Genoa in the league this weekend, with the play set to get underway at 20:30 CET Saturday evening.
